At a recent event organized in June 2024, I had the privilege of speaking on the topic of addictions and the “Rat Park” experiment. In my presentation, I explained the groundbreaking study which demonstrated that environment plays a crucial role in addiction behaviors. The participants were highly engaged, asking insightful questions and showing a keen interest in applying these concepts to their own lives.
I conducted a master class on building resilience for freelancers in June, focusing on the unique challenges they face in their careers. As a mental health expert, I emphasized the importance of developing a resilient mindset to navigate the uncertainties and pressures of freelancing. The master class covered practical strategies such as time management, setting realistic goals, maintaining work-life balance, and cultivating a supportive network.
I recently conducted a workshop for the staff of Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) on mental health in the workplace. The workshop covered key topics such as recognizing signs of stress and burnout, effective stress management techniques, and the importance of fostering a supportive work culture. Emphasis was placed on creating an open dialogue about mental health within the workplace to reduce stigma and encourage employees to seek help when needed.
